I don't know why I writing this down, or writing this here, but I find that the threads when the Mets lose, the threads and their repsonses are much funnier than when they win. Anyone has a reason why?

"Last week, the Mets were good, doin' good. But now, they're
in rough shape..ROUGH SHAPE, I tell ya! They're gettin' no respect,
NO RESPECT!"

I think a lot of it has to do with how they lose than just scattered losses. Currently going on a losing streak unbecoming of a first place team and losing in ways that are unbecoming of a MLB team are the things that really get the crowd riled up. Add to that both extremes come out the more consecutive losses that take place, the fanatic crowd of "the Mets definitely won't go to the postseason" vs the extreme "holier than thou" crowd. Bonus points for being swept. Either way, the fanatic activity has more life than the Mets right now so I hope the Mets figure things out.

This thread's been as quiet as Turner Field.

:D

(Of course, "The Ted" comes to life when the "Let's Go Mets!" chants start, which awakens the locals -- or deters them from listening to SEC football games or NASCAR races on their i-Radios -- and they try to drown us out, without success)
