On June 18th the Evil Empire plays that pillar of all that is right and good with the world, the NY Mets.

On Thursday the 17th the Skanks play the Sillies.


Still, even though the Skanks play the Sillies I can not under ANY circumstance root for the Evil Empire.

I'm with you... in these situations I root for a bench clearing brawl in the top of the first inning, with fists flying for both teams, and immediate ejections of ALL players... (A month-long suspension for all involved wouldn't hurt either!!!)

As interleague play has become just another part of the schedule, I DO find myself taking the NL East standings into more consideration than I have in the past when picking a team in an interleague match. With where we are today, I'm going to root against the Braves and Phillies no matter who the opponent is.

I'm not saying it will be easy.... :)

By the way, I'll be at the Stadium on the 19th for the Mets game. Anybody else?

Geez, Ive been to three MLB games this season and Ive seen the Yankees twice and they won both times :(

Every game the Skanks lose is another game closer to them possibly missing the playoffs. If the Mets win their games I couldn't give two shits what the division teams do.

Take care of your own business. Don't worry about what they do.

So let's say the Mets end up a game or so out of first at the end of the season. The game where you hope the Yankees lose against the Philthies or something along those lines could be the one that would have gotten us in if it was a day we won.

Look, there are plenty of other games that the Yankees can lose.

They have to win some of the time.

it's gotten to the point where I hate the phillies above any other team.

i could NEVER root for them to win. No matter who they're playing.
