marlins and nats?

no excuse not to go 5-2 on this trip

Can't argue with that....would be nice to go into the break on a high note.

I assume we get Strasburg on Saturday.

We've had a habit of losing to the Marlins lately. Hopefully the upheaval in their clubhouse will work in our favor.

Phil the Phan
They also have a habit of losing games in Puerto Rico IIRC. Not optimistic for anything more than 3-4.

Mets have played 2 series in P.R....

0-3 in '03
2-1 in '04

i'll take the latter this time around... ;)

The Marlins and Nationals have taken great pleasure in sticking it to the Mets through their recent "troubles.'

If they want to be a different team, they need to kick the crap out of them now.

So far this year, the Mets have only kicked the crap out of the Marlins in that recent 3-game series at home. Other than that, it's been embarrassing.

The time for change is now! LETS GO METS

According to Angel Pagan, the Mets have more fans in PR than any other team and he anticipates it playing like a home game, the way the O's games did.

BTW, does it bother anyone else that the only time Beltran has seemed anxious to actually play for the Mets was to be in the PR series?

We got verrry lucky vs the Fish, no Josh Johnson or Nolasco.

Looks like I'll be getting to Sunday's game (July 4) vs. the Nats. I won a lottery to get tickets to see the fireworks from the roof of my office building - I figure I'll go to the game first then take the Metro under the Mall to my office (near the White House) to avoid the crowds.

is that the strasburg game?

lucky ducky

Nope - I think he is supposed to pitch on Saturday (which may also by why there are still so many tickets left for Sunday).

Not quite. We're facing Nolasco (and losing to him) as I type.

Damn mixed him and Anibal Sanchez up.

At least no JJ the next two games.

Got my tickets for Sunday's game - lowest level on the first base side. Hoping that the Mets kick some booty that day!
