I heard about this on the news and I think, NPR...
Sometimes multiple concussions can produce symptoms that present like ALS.
They're not sure that the concussions directly causes the disease; it's one of the avenues they are investigating I imagine.

I turned it on in the middle of it. They mentioned Gehrig, how he played after getting beaned and that his head was swollen so he had to wear Ruth's hat. Makes you wonder.
